Handcrafted Log Home - Pine, Colorado

We built this log home with locally-sourced handcrafted logs 12”-14” in diameter. Each saddle notched corner was hand-scribed and cut by hand to match perfectly to the log below. The custom-built main entry door was crafted by a local artisan and hand-carved with the view of the mountains as seen from the foyer once inside the home. We had custom iron railings fabricated for use on the balconies - these depict scenes of wildlife native to the area. The mantel over the fireplace was also hand-made by a local artisan, and includes Fallow Deer antlers that tie-in with those used on the chandelier in the entry foyer. The log staircase leads upstairs to the view of the great room with 22’ vaulted ceilings, and the massive log truss supporting the log roof structure. The concrete roof tile is Monier Lifetile Madera, which is crafted to give the look of cedar shakes, but is much more durable and environmentally friendly. We included a covered area over a portion of the deck for outdoor living space, and installed a gas fireplace for ambiance during summer and fall evenings. The home was finished with many additional custom features, including highly unique lighting and plumbing fixtures.
